It’s all about politics. We need the kind of political leaders we had between 1933 and 1980. They gave us progressive high taxes on incomes and estates. Even had an excess profit tax on corporations.

Then used the money to fund government programs that benefited workers, the middle class and poor. And, of course, the wealthy still got wealthier, but not so much that they became a new aristocracy as they are now.

We also need to understand how easy it is today for so many people can get very rich. Just write some great software, and it costs almost nothing to download it to millions of customers.
